They guy who built this -- Ghiyassudin Tughlak -- was pretty paranoid, which is why the fort is so massive. Turns out his son was in on the plot to kill him, which succeeded. At least his tomb was cool. |

if you look closely, you can see the exit hole from the secret passageway. It's about half way up the wall in the middle of the picture. Water bordered this side of the fort and he had a boat waiting to ferry him away. |
