Train to Pushkar

November 22, 2007 - One of the best ways to see India is from it's railways.  So much of it's culture sits just a few meters from the train tracks. 

Playing Cards... to pass the time. It was a 7 hour train ride that began at 6am and lasted 8 hours... Hmmmm. Then another hour on a bus to Pushkar.	The side of our train... My favorite spot on the train was at the open door looking out over the countryside. Many a mommy was alarmed that the door was even opened, but not this mommy.	B hanging out of the train It was going very slowly at this point. When we got up to speed, it was a little unnerving to be too close to the edge and we eventually closed the door.

On the bus	Nice get up... Love the pink scooter. The bandana is to protect you from inhaling all the pollution, the gloves to keep you skin from getting darker. What a fashionista!
