The Sunrise Camel Group... |

We left around 5:30 am for a camel ride to see the sunrise. |

Mom & D on our camel Sonia |

It got quite chilly on the camel and poor D was very cold. He didn't want his picture taken. |

Chai? Coffee? |
|
The girls were said there was only chai and coffee served in the morning, so they made themselves cups of hot water. Mmmmm. |

Callus camel |
|
Notice there are calluses on his "knees" and his belly. I guess that's where it rubs the most. |

Music Video in the making... |
|
This was hysterical. On our camel cart ride to town we saw this band in the act of performing just out in the middle of the camel fair grounds. There were cameras and production crew and everything. We figured they were making a music video. How strange is that? |

One of our tour guides |
|
The guy with the stick in the air was one of the tour guides leading us through town the first time. They soon left us to our own devices and we had a blast in the crazy madness of town. |

Who bought you those? |
|
In a moment of weakness, I bought D this really annoying hat. When you blow on the whistle thing it makes a horrific noise and extends the blue tubes, like a party favor... luckily it broke fairly quickly. Bad Mommy! |

Krishna boy! |

Just walking around town was this kid dressed up like Lord Krishna. It was really strange. |

Notice the ratio of Limca to Merinda... Limca wins everytime. |

B's haul |
|
This bangle guy was the KING of bangles. You just tell him what color or colors you want and he yells out what he wants. His employees bring him boxes of bangles and he creates the perfect grouping of bangles. A, B and I came home with a great collection. |

Z & M |

Dave and Richard took the older kids to the "base camp" of the mountain to scope out their route for the next morning's hike to the top. There were these adorable puppies there. Remember this picture... it just may be in a wedding announcement several years from now. |

The Kids' rides |
|
While Dave and the older kids were gone and most of the mommies were shopping, a kid's camel ride was arranged just through the camp. |

Nazi camel? |
|
Nope... many people fail to realize that the swastika is an ancient symbol, around way before Hitler. |

Love the hatchet... |
