Kathakali

Kathakali is a form of dance that tells a story. The show we saw represented 6 different forms of Indian dance.  It was quite impressive.

As is usually the case, claim has been made that the pre-cursor to and inspiriation for Kung Fu started in India. This was a demonstration of that.

Kathakali

Too difficult to explain here, but there are 9 different emotions and 27 different signs used to convey the messages of this dance which tell stories from the Ramayana and other Indian lore. The facial expressions were AMAZING!

The Kathakali Duo
