Humayan's Tomb

September 3, 2007 - Humayan was the second Mughal emperor in India.  This garden tomb was built in 1565 and was commissioned by his "senior" widow.  There are several buildings and gates on this complex--even his barber was buried here.  He must have given great haircuts.

Adorable kids

I wanted to get a shot of this cute little girl just playing around, but the parents shoved her and her brother out to pose for us. I don't think they appreciated that. Say paneer! (cheese)

It poured!

Dave didn't mind the rain...'cuz he took the umbrella!

A peacock!

We could hear their calls, but had a difficult time spotting them until this guy started running across the fence.

The attention to detail and symmetry of these ancient architects is amazing.

This concept became a staple in Mughal architecture.

A quiet chat...

I just love to see these cute couples chatting under the tree...it's so romantic.
