Christmas Trip Dec 2007

Our good friends and fellow Olmsteders, the Little Family, came visiting over Christmas break.  We rented a bus and took a trip to Agra, Ranthambore National Park, Jaipur and Neemrana Fort.  It was such a great way to travel and we saw some fantastic sites. 

Agra - We saw the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort again, this time another part of the Taj was open for viewing, and we spent a little time in the Guest house.

Fatehpur Sikri - This was the seat of Mughal government for almost 20 years, but abandoned for lack of water after Akbar's death

On the Road - Let's just glump all our "from the bus" photos here.  This is real "life in India"

Ranthambore - Our fantastic hotel,  & our 2 tiger safaris

Jaipur - The City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal & another great hotel

The Amber Fort - a little ways out of town, but a must see in Jaipur.  Also the Jaigarh Fort on the hill

Neemrana Fort - Our resting place for the last night of the trip.  This is one of the most spectacular places I've ever seen.  We will definitely be returning here.
